My father recently stayed at Moraga Post Acute for two months following his hip surgery. We couldn’t have picked a better place for him. All of the staff are very caring, patient and kind. They are always willing to help with smiles on their faces. The therapy staff was very encouraging and patient with my father. He made great progress during his time there. They were great at setting goals and explaining things. They truly worked wonders and my dad even looked forward to his therapy every day. All the nursing staff was wonderful too. They were always willing to help with a positive attitude. They lifted spirits in trying times. Lisa was a great help too with all her support and access to great resources, helping us navigate through the process. I highly recommend Moraga Post Acute.

This has got to be the GREATEST place to be sent to, the staff are wonderful as well as the Therapy staff & the NURSES and the rest of the staff. They are all above & Superior in their jobs. I was sad to leave, because I made many friends their, I’m going back and want to visit with a lot of staff!!!!

I was an inpatient at Moraga Post Acute for 18 days following a head-on collision that left me with multiple orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries. I was admitted for occupational and physical therapy rehabilitation. A few staff members truly stood out for their dedication and compassion. Michelle (RN) and Jit (CNA) consistently went above and beyond in their care. Sandra, Phyllis, Stiev, and Tony from PT/OT were all outstanding—skilled, supportive, and genuinely caring. Unfortunately, these individuals were the exception rather than the rule. Overall, I found that many staff members lacked attention to detail, and the facility seemed to struggle with low morale and a poor workplace culture. While the therapists themselves are well trained and kind, I received no more than about 3 hours of hands-on PT/OT over my entire stay. Therapy is not offered on weekends, and on some weekdays I was seen by only one therapist. Thankfully, I am highly self-motivated and made myself get up and exercise frequently on my own to build the strength I needed for discharge. During my stay, I underwent major ankle surgery (open reduction and internal fixation) under general anesthesia. The facility provided transport to and from the procedure, but when I returned to my room, no one checked on me for the next 24 hours. No nurse asked how the surgery went, how I was feeling, or how I was recovering from anesthesia. When I finally mentioned it, one nurse even insisted I had only received a “nerve block,” not surgery. It was alarming and frightening that the staff caring for me didn’t know what procedure I had undergone. I was initially placed in a shared room with a woman who had dementia and would shout or chatter for hours at a time. Although I reported the issue immediately because I could not sleep, it took four days before I was moved to a more suitable room. The facility is clearly understaffed. At times, the call button was answered within 10 minutes, but other times it took well over an hour for someone to respond. The discharge planning team was pleasant but ineffective. I was told I would receive occupational therapy, physical therapy, and home health care two to three times per week after discharge. It has now been nine days since I left, and I have yet to hear from anyone. Nutrition was another disappointment. On my first day, a nutritionist spoke with me about my dietary preferences and assured me that providing healthy meals would be no problem. In reality, the meals were far from balanced—one dinner consisted of corn, peas, macaroni and cheese and a bread roll. This facility has the potential to be excellent with better staffing, improved communication, and stronger follow-through. While I greatly appreciate the efforts of the individuals who provided me with exceptional care, I cannot say that my overall experience at Moraga Post Acute was a good one.

The grounds are nice, the place is clean. The staff is wonderful. I really owe a shout out to several staff members. Lisa, thank you. Jit, you are wonderful and kind and appreciated more than you know. I dont give 5 stars because I wish the weekends were better staffed, but this is at any rehab. I wish that my dad could be moved to the window now that he has no roommate and it seems silly that this request won’t be fulfilled. And I wish that there was an easier way to messages people there, like an email list. But I chose for dad to go there for a second time. It’s far better than some other ones.

The cna Jit has been very helpful and she is a happy and cheerful person

Moraga Post Acute is an excellent facility! They cared for my mother as they would their own loved one. While in their care my mother received consistently compassionate care, exemplary physical therapy and superb case management. The beautiful patio and garden provided my mother a respite and the opportunity to socialize as she became stronger. Throughout my mother’s stay I was well informed and provided the resources to plan for her safe discharge. I recommend Moraga Post Acute without reservation.

The staff members have been attentive and patient with him in spite of his difficulties. I wish to give a particular thanks to the nursing staff members Michelle, Jit, Rose, Q, Nikki, Sabrina, Savannah, Rita, Damian, Annie, Crystal, William, and others who have been so kind to him. In addition, all of the therapy staff, but particularly Kristi, have been so very helpful. Cecilia and Yvette were always welcoming at reception too. Our family appreciates the efforts of the administrative and other support staff who keep the facility organized, well-run, and clean. Of course, not everything is perfect, but Moraga Post-Acute makes their patients their priority and our family is grateful for that. Thank you.

My mom is the patient at Moraga Post-Acute for a while now. The place is very organized , humane and clean. She is very elderly woman with health problems. I can’t thank enough the staff of Moraga Post-acute for their around the clock excellent work and warm hearts. Can’t list everyone who provide excellent care, sorry if I missed names, my special thank you goes to Jit Samra, nurse Michelle, my mom’s guardian angels, and Lisa for support and guidance. For whoever is looking for information about this facility to consider- medical care is well organized, staff is skilled and friendly, food is tasty and nutritious. I’ve been here so far for almost a week and my CNA Rose has been incredible. She goes above and beyond for me and I appreciate her very very much. She doesn’t just do her duties but she helps where she is needed. She has such a great personality and attitude. She makes being in here brighter. Thanks Rose for all you do!

My aunt was here a few months back and the staff was very friendly and helpful, thank you to Tannia for bringing light to a hard time and giving such positivity!

Rosalia takes really good care of her patients especially when I need help she does an incredible care she very caring very polite love her moraga has a great worker here don’t loose her.

No such place is perfect. But the workers there were geared to graciously and effectively help me through my difficult 3-week stay there. I especially want to note Tig (She’s been working there for 30 Years) my nurse Michelle, Evon, Tiana, Megan, Steven ,and Andrew, plus several others whose names at 92, I’ve regretfully forgotten. I recommend the place.

I don’t even know where to start. My grandmother has been a permanent resident there for a year. She is doing so much better prior to her being there. She has the best time everyday during activities. Thank you so much to the activity director Leticia! She brings so much joy to my grandma and it shows!

We run a small transport company and we pick up patients here at Moraga Post Acute and take them to their medical/doctors appointment. Just want to say Thank You to Anjali and Yvette for making patients’ appointments so efficiently and professionally. And to the rest of the staff, Thank you! My team and I are always greeted with friendly smiles and always feel welcome.

Moraga Post Acute is phenomenal with patient care! I would recommend this Beautiful small setting facility to your Love ones! My dad was involved in a car accident and we had to make a decision to place him in a Rehabilitation facility for a few weeks. Moraga Post Acute was the best decision ever, my dad needs were met. The physical therapist set goals to get my dad to walk again due to him having broken bones. Upon my father leaving the facility the social worker Lisa was amazing with finding resources on his daily living needs while at home! The entire Moraga team was excellent with providing patient care! Thank you!!
